This was a tough ride with lots of climbing and few services along the route. It was heartbreaking for our riding friend Nick as he had to abandone today. He was having serious health problems-numbness in his arm and hand. His sister from Denver came and got him off the route. Richard and especially Mike were saddened as Nick had been excited to complete the trip. We learned about this when Richard.pulled into Hartsel.

Beautiful scenery! Enjoy the sights as you ride up and down the elevation. Hope you and Steve are acclimating to the aforementioned elevation.
Well perhaps Tuesday is not a big bar night in Hartsell??? The other adjustment is digestive system indeed. Help it out with lots of water. If all fails pop probiotics....lots of storms with Hail here. Your timing through Kansas was perfect. Hope that luck holds. Truly getting into God’S Country. Sleep well.
